Founder Philip Ferreira was raised by serial entrepreneurs. As a child, Phil grew up watching his parents work 12-18 hour days building their small local businesses. He developed a strong admiration and respect for all business founders who risked so much as they worked tirelessly to improve the standard of living for their families. Phil also learned the language of small business owners, and gained insight into their daily challenges and solution-driven attitudes.
After founding 5 web companies of his own, Phil decided to focus more time on solving some of the challenges his parent's faced with their 3 restaurants. One of the biggest challenges they faced was employee turnover, and their inability to find new people fast enough to remain fully staffed. As it turned out, the problem was job applicants' unwillingness to walk into a store, request a job application, complete it, and return it. After months of successfully testing and developing, APPLICANTS™ was launched, and has been adopted by all sized businesses as their staffing solution.
WebCorp is a profitable, privately owned LLC, founded in 2007 by husband and wife Philip and Crystal Ferreira, and is located in Danville, California. WebCorp develops SaaS (software-as-a-service) for U.S. businesses, with an emphasis on businesses in the retail, food & drink, and service industries. WebCorp's goal is to solve many of the challenges organizations face where software is the right solution, at an affordable cost.
Phil Ferreira has founded 5 web companies since 1998. He has innovated, architected, developed, scaled, and sold web applications with millions of visitors in the automotive, financial, dating, political, social networking, and real estate industries. He is a full-stack developer with more than 50,000 hours of design and coding expertise.
Phil was born, raised, and currently resides in the California Bay Area where he is a husband and dad of 3 kids and 2 huskies. Phil also enjoys domaining, hang gliding, urban mushing, SCUBA diving, skiing, and has played in more than 200 local flag football games.
Crystal has 20+ years of demonstrated achievement working for both start up and fortune 1000 technology companies. Her achievements include success in driving sales growth through creation and implementation of best in practice sales processes, metrics and tools; use of innovation and creativity in developing marketing and training programs; and cultivating an excellent team through superb leadership and mentoring.
Crystal is a wife and mother of 3 small children and two aging Huskies. In her spare time, Crystal enjoys reading, movies, travel, hiking, wine tasting and spending time with her friends and family.
